Welcome to the Virgin Islands Department of Education’s Virtual Career Expo. The United States Virgin Islands Department of Education (VIDE) is an executive branch of the Government of the U.S. Virgin Islands mandated under Titles 3 and 17 of the Virgin Islands Code. It is the largest governmental entity in the Virgin Islands and it functions as both a Local Education Agency (LEA) and a State-level Education Agency (SEA). The Department is headed by a Commissioner at the SEA level and a District Superintendent at the two LEAs. With over 33 schools across three islands we offer a unique experience of education, culture, community, and recreation all here in America’s paradise.
Within our Expo you will find exhibitor booths representing key functional areas and partners within the VIDE community. At each booth you can access information related to school-based and teacher-focused programs, curriculum, career opportunities, and live chats. Over the course of the Expo, we invite you to visit any of our booths to learn more about our territory and its districts, and explore immediate opportunities for the current school year. During this virtual experience we intend to engage with educational professionals who are seeking immediate opportunities, as well as those pursuing employment for school year 2015-16. We believe that you will find that the Virgin Islands is a great place to work and play.
